(arabic: daulat al Imaraat al arabiyya al muttahida), are located on the Southeast Coast of the Arabian Gulf on th border of Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Formed in December 2, 1971, it is a federation of the following seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Um Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. The Capital is Abu Dhabi. Arabic is the official language, but the English language is widely used.
The Currency is the Arab Emirates Dirham (Dhs or AED) 1 AED is 100 fils.

Abu DhabiAbu Dhabi (english: Father of Gazelle) is the countries capital and second largest city of the U.A.E (United Arab Emirates). The population of the Emirate Abu Dhabi is about 2.600.000 with growing tendence. The population of the city Abu Dhabi is about 1 Million. The largest city of the U.A.E is Dubai. The city is located on a island and connected to the mainland through two bridges. In the Northwest Abu Dhabi borders on Qatar, in South, West and southwest on Saudi Arabia and in southeast and northeast on Oman.

AjmanThe Emirate of Ajman is situated on the west coast of the Arabian Gulf extending, over a distance of 16 kilometres, between the emirates of Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. The area of Ajman is 259 square kilometres, equivalent to 0,3 % of the country`s total area, excluding the islands. In former times, Ajman was a small romantic village for fishermen, but in the last 2 years it is growing more and more. In 1991 the population was about 76.000. Meanwhile the population is estimated to be 135.000. The town of Ajman, the capital of the emirate, lies on the coast of the Arabian gulf. It comprises the Ruler`s office, companies, banks and commercial markets. The port of Ajman is located along a natural creek (Khor) which penetrates the town. There is also a freezone in Ajman. Now you can find wonderful beaches, modern developments and a very beautiful corniche, but also ancient houses and touristic attractions, like the Ajman museum. Known for its diving sites and rolling sand dunes, Ajman has grown into an ideal residential sanctuary for people seeking the best of both worlds.
